Find out about the 40 Books for 40 Years reading program for kids in grades K-5.
In honor of the Ela Library’s 40th anniversary this year, the library is launching a new community-wide reading program for kids! We have chosen a list of 40 books to appeal to many different types of readers, both in interest and reading ability. Students entering grades K-5 are invited to read the books of their choice from our list and add a bead to the tower for each title. As goals marked on the tower are met, special prizes will become available for all to enjoy! Encourage your friends and neighbors to work together in building a tower of reading beads this year. The program runs through December 30, 2012.
