To obtain your free library card, you must live within the Ela Area Library District (Lake Zurich, Kildeer, Hawthorn Woods and some surrounding unincorporated areas). A signature from a parent or guardian is required for children under 18.
You will need to show two forms of identification with your current address to a staff member at the Circulation Desk when you apply. Acceptable forms of ID include: driver's license, utility bill, checkbook, voter's registration, lease or mortgage papers or a current tax bill.
