Passport Services
Ela Area Public Library is now an official Passport Acceptance Facility,
accepting
DS-11 applications for passports at the Information Desk on
the 1st floor.We do not take passport photos at the Library. Locations nearby that take photos include Walgreens and Costco.
New Passports
Under Age 16 (valid for 5 years, cannot be renewed)
- $80 - Passport fee, payable to U.S. Department of State
- $25 - Processing fee, payable to Ela Area Public Library
Over Age 16 (valid for 10 years)
- $110 - Passport fee, payable to U.S. Department of State
- $25 - Processing fee, payable to Ela Area Public Library
Renewal Passports
- $110 -Passport fee, payable to U.S. Department of State
Optional Services
- Expedited Service - $60, payable to U.S. Department of State (this fee is
in addition to the passport fee and the processing fee)

- Personal with a local suburban address - at library's discretion
- Bounced checks are subject to a $10 processing fee
We accept passport applications everyday, up to a half hour prior to closing.
Patrons should call the Library or refer to the passport website for the
requirements to obtain a passport –such as birth certificate, naturalization
papers etc.
