Staff members from the Ela Area Public Library are pleased to offer presentations on a variety of subjects to groups in the community to increase awareness, understanding and use of the library’s vast array of services and collections.
Besides the topics listed below customized presentations and tours of the library can also be developed to meet your needs. Presentations can be given off-site or at the library.

Suggested topics include:
Parents, grandparents and caregivers – pick up suggestions, tips and ideas for choosing the best books for the children in your life. Learn about new classics, books in a series, nonfiction, titles for reluctant readers and the hot titles on the playground. (45 minutes)
Books are a great gift for kids; they rarely make noise, take up little space in the bedroom and don’t require batteries. Learn about the hot new books available online and in the book stores as well as suggestions for those lesser-known titles that are sure to please. (45 minutes)
Discover teen classics, genre favorites, award winners and hot new titles.
This hands-on presentation will show you how to choose age-appropriate craft activities for children or those who are kids at heart. Staff will do a seasonal presentation and modify for your needs. (30 minutes)
This talk will highlight nonfiction books for readers of all levels and with all interests, ages 5-14. (45 minutes)
Learn the benefits of reading to your toddlers and introducing literacy at an early age. Preschool criteria and learning activities can also be discussed. (30 minutes)

available at your fingertips.
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is replacing the barcode. We’ll discuss the technical considerations for implementing an RFID inventory control system. In addition to system design, we’ll also explain customer privacy, tagging your inventory and various troubleshooting tips to help you overcome the hurdles.
