Volunteering Opportunities
The Library needs the help of dedicated volunteers to provide support
and assistance to meet the challenges and demands of our growing population of
library users.
Typical ongoing volunteer jobs include:
- Mending books
- Assisting with programs and special events
- Delivering books to homebound patrons
- Summer Reading desk help (June and July)
- Helping with special projects
- Clerical assistance
- Shelving books
- Sorting photographs for local history
- Helping prepare book displays
Volunteer Benefits
Volunteers do not pay overdue fines and receive discounts on book orders. An
annual volunteer meeting is scheduled in the fall, and volunteers are honored
each year for their service at the Friends’ Luncheon.
