Become a Tax-Aide Volunteer

AARP is looking for volunteers to help provide free personal income tax assistance for people in the community. Tax-Aide volunteers prepare and file tax returns for those with low to moderate incomes, especially those 50 and older. Volunteers come from a variety of industries and span ages from retirees to college students. You don't have to be a tax professional and will gain useful knowledge and experience with the training that is provided.

Opportunities include:

  • Help Prepare Tax Returns -- Work directly with taxpayers to prepare their tax returns.
  • Organize and Support -- Greet people, provide tech support, help organize, recruit, translate and more.
