We miss you! Our library is normally a bustling place filled with patrons gathering together and finding physical materials, interacting in person with our staff. We look forward to returning to this world when the time is right.
Our library staff has been working at home and developing online programs and services. You will find an enhanced collection of eBooks and eAudiobooks in Overdrive, and patrons may now each check out up to 20 items per month on Hoopla.
An all ages summer reading challenge will launch in July, and we hope you will join us for virtual storytimes, art programs, wellness lectures, and more. If you do not currently have a library card, we invite you to apply for a temporary one here.
We are carefully planning to reopen the library building in phases which will provide access to physical materials while still maintaining safety. Our first phase will bring the opening of our drive-up window.
Because items in libraries are borrowed, used in households, and then returned, there is an added layer of precaution needed to minimize risk to both staff and patrons. Currently, we are developing decontamination procedures and safety protocols based on the latest research and recommendations available to us.
The safety of our staff and patrons is our top priority. While we wait with cautious optimism, please know that we are still here for you. We’d love to hear from you through email at firstname.lastname@example.org or through our live online chat, M-F 9:30am-5:30pm.
May good stories and books, in whatever format, and safe outings in nature keep you well. We can’t wait for the day when we can safely welcome you back in person!
