Summer Concert Series

Concerts are held outdoors on the Library's back lawn. Please provide your own seating. In the event of bad weather, the concert will be moved indoors. All ages welcome. No registration required.

Kaleidoscope Eyes, Beatles Tribute Band, Thurs., Jun. 8, 6:30PM

Featured on Chicago's 93.1 WXRT, 102.3 WXLC, ABC Ch 7 Windy City Live, Genesee Theatre and more, Kaleidoscope Eyes is Chicago's premiere acoustic Beatles Tribute band. Hear them pay homage to the greatest melodies and harmonies this world has ever known with exactly that...great melodies, harmonies and musicianship! No registration required. In the event of rain, the concert will be held indoors.

Hugo's Elvis Tribute Show & EAPL's 50th Anniversary Celebration, Tues., Jun. 27, 7PM

Join us for a rockin time to celebrate the Library’s 50th anniversary! Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy Hugo's Elvis Tribute Show spanning the 50s, 60s and 70s. Grab your socks, your dancing partner and get ready to get “All Shook Up”! In the event of rain, festivities will be moved indoors.

Musician Katie Kostner, Wed., Aug. 2, 6:30PM

Whether it’s Adele, Dolly Parton, The Beatles, Elvis, or P!NK, there will be something for everyone at this live concert. Katie Kostner is a professional singer, actress, musician, and songwriter with a passion for music and the stage. Locally, she is known for performing live at area events, as well as for producing her own series of Facebook and Instagram Live Quarantine Concerts, leading to a feature story on Chicago’s WGN news. In addition, Katie has performed the National Anthem before a Chicago White Sox game in 2021 and 2022.

Musical Voyage Around the Mediterranean, Wed., Aug. 30, 6PM

Experience unique folk instruments and captivating music played around the Eastern shores of this great sea. Learn about the dances of Greece, the drum language of Egypt, and see the evolution of musical instruments from ancient to modern times. Listen to the sounds of folk instruments like the Sandouri, (Greek hammered dulcimer)  and Darbuka, (Middle Eastern goblet drum), Riq, (tambourine), and learn about the modern instruments like clarinet, saxophone and guitar commonly used in folk music from these areas. Presented by musicians Eve Monzingo and George Lawler.
