If an item is not available to order from our library or through the CCS consortium, Ela Area Public Library District residents can access items from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
Request items at the Information Desk or Reference Desk by phone, email, chat, in-person, or by the “Recommend a Purchase” webform below. Most items arrive in approximately ten working days, but others may take several weeks.
- Interlibrary loan is only available to Ela Area Public Library District residents. Residents must have a valid Ela Library card to request an interlibrary loan.
- There is a limit of 10 items per card.
- We can only request audiovisual items from in-state libraries.
- The library will not obtain books from outside of the continental United States.
You can submit requests for up to five articles per month at the Reference Desk. Please provide as much information about the article as possible (i.e., journal title, article title, volume/issue numbers, dates, author, etc.) to ensure accurate and timely results.
