Where Can I Vote?
- Early Voting in Lake County begins on February 5, 2026 at the Lake County Main Courthouse lobby located at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, IL.
- Additional locations open beginning March 2, 2026.

- The Library is a voting location for the General Primary Election on March 17. Any registered Lake County voter can vote at the Library. Voting hours are 6am-7pm in the Library's Meeting Room, first floor.
Grace Period Voter Registration
Registration is open all year throughout the county except during the 27 days preceding an election and reopens the second day following an election.
- After registration closes, grace period registration is available at the Lake County Clerk’s office in Waukegan.
- Beginning 15 days before Election Day, grace registration is available at any Early Voting site. (Ela Library is NOT an Early Voting site in 2026)
- Grace registration is also available on Election Day at Election Day voting sites.
