Learn to Code with Ozaria

Master the lost magic of coding and save the world of Ozaria from impending darkness in this online adventure game! Players will learn to type real code, problem solve, and make their own creative projects in this Python-based computer science program with an immersive fantasy storyline.

No prior coding experience is required; some reading and keyboarding skills are necessary. Recommended for ages 7-16.

More

The Library has a variety of materials available for checkout that can offer extra tips, challenges, and entertainment for kids learning to code. Browse and place holds in our catalog here.

In addition, the Library offers more advanced coding resources through Gale Courses, O'Reilly Media, and LinkedIn Learning, available at no cost with an Ela Library card.

The following online resources are free and available to anyone, to be used together with or separately from Ozaria:

If you’ve already completed Ozaria, CodeCombat is another program you may be interested in! It follows a similar structure, but has less story-focus and many more hours of coding content.

Your Ozaria account and Ela license are compatible with CodeCombat; you will not need to make a new account or request another license in order to play.
