VolunTeen Video Book Review/Book Trailer

Teens in grades 6-12 can earn volunteer hours by creating an original video review or book trailer for a recently released teen novel. Books must have been released within the past four (4) years. Videos will be shared on the library's social media and website.

Fill out the form below in its entirety, to participate and earn full hours. Reviewers will receive three (3) hours community service credit for each submitted original review that meets all of the listed requirements, up to a total of three (3) hours per month.

You will receive an email once the review has been watched and reviewed letting you know if it's been accepted.
If you need a copy of your volunteer hours, please email the teen librarian at shill@eapl.org, and allow one (1) week to receive them. Submit the review well in advance before your deadline.

Video reviews should be 2-5 minutes in length. The video review must be your own words discussing the book summary, your thoughts on it, who should read it, and any read-a-likes. Book trailers should be 1-3 minutes in length. It should hook the viewer into wanting to read the book, without giving too much away. Check YouTube out for examples. Get creative and have fun!
