A New Chapter of Caring: Ela Library Opens Free Food Assistance Pantry

In a continued effort to strengthen community support and increase access to essential resources, Ela Area Public Library has officially launched a free food assistance pantry inside the library. The new Little Free Pantry offers community residents convenient access to nonperishable food items and household essentials.

The pantry is designed to serve individuals and families facing food insecurity and is available during normal library hours. Guests may select what they need at no cost. Stocked frequently, the pantry offers a variety of nonperishable items and toiletries.

In addition to the pantry, the library continues to offer a variety of social-impact services, including support groups for caregivers, monthly opportunities to meet with a local social worker, literacy programs, and educational workshops. The pantry reflects the library’s dedication to creating a caring, supportive space for all who walk through its doors.
