
Get ready to soak up the sunset with some good music as the Library's Outdoor Summer Concert Series kicks off in July. This year's lineup includes crowd-pleasing tribute bands as well as rock and soul smash hits the 1960s and beyond. Bring a blanket, chair and some refreshments and sit back and enjoy the tunes.
- Hugo's Elvis Tribute, Tues., Jul. 1 from 6:30-8 p.m. The King of Rock 'n' Roll makes his debut at EAPL. Chicagoland's young Elvis tribute artist Hugo performs all the legendary early television, radio, record and concert recordings of Elvis' genres from gospel, ballads, rockabilly and Hawaiian favorites to the icon's greatest rock 'n' roll hits from the 1950s and beyond!
- Rosie & the Rivets, Mon., Jul. 21 from 7-8 p.m. Retro revivalists Rosie & The Rivets bring their high-energy, nostalgic performance to the Library with favorite rock and soul smash hits from the 1960s and beyond! Although their look and sound are a throwback, hear a fresh and fun setlist of hugely popular classic songs from the mid 1960s to early 2000s that appeal to multigenerational audiences. From Aretha Franklin to Amy Winehouse, there is something for everybody. Wear your dancing shoes!
- Kaleidoscope Eyes, Mon., Aug. 25 from 6-7:30 p.m. Capture the feel, the sound and the vocal diversity of the Fab Four at our last concert of the season. Kaleidoscope Eyes returns to perform an electrifying concert experience celebrating the timeless music of The Beatles.
Performances are held on the Library's back lawn. To access the area, go through the main entrance and exit the building on the patio. Limited parking is available in the parking lot behind the building. In the event of rain, all performances will be moved indoors. No registration is required.
