Get ready to soak up the sunset with some good music as the Library's Outdoor Summer Concert Series kicks off in July. This year's lineup includes crowd-pleasing tribute bands as well as rock and soul smash hits the 1960s and beyond.
Four trustees were elected to the Library’s Board of Trustees in April. Newcomers Betty Birner, Adam Gira and Karol Sucec along with re-elected trustee Cathy McCauley, serving her second term, were sworn in May 20. Each are serving a four-year term.
Are you looking for opportunities to give back to the community? Stop by the Library on Wednesday, June 4 from 4-6 p.m. for a chance to visit with over 20 local nonprofits and service organizations looking to fill open positions fit for a wide range of ages and abilities.
The Garden Club of Lake Zurich's annual plant sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 17 in front of the Library. The event takes place from 8:30 a.m.-noon. Come early for the best selection.

Explore More Illinois, an online cultural and recreational pass program for Illinois libraries, welcomes two new attractions, Chicago Tempest Women’s Pro Rugby in Evanston, and Fabyan Villa & Japanese Garden in Geneva!
Returning for the third year, the ELQT Quilt Show takes place in April and May at the Library. This year’s theme is Spring On! and showcases quilts, wall hangings and lap quilts created in yellows, blues and whites.
Is your nonprofit organization looking for volunteers? The Ela Area Public Library will host a Volunteer Fair on Wed., June 4 from 4-6pm at the Library to provide residents an opportunity to learn about nonprofits in the area and their volunteer needs.
